Role Summary
We are seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide technical support, system integration, and application assistance for our quadruped robot products. This role serves as a key technical bridge between customers, sales, and R&D teams, requiring a strong system-level understanding of robotic platforms. The FAE will support customer deployments, tuning, debugging, and application development, ensuring stable and reliable operation of robotic systems in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and application assistance for quadruped robot products
- Support system integration, deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting in real-world environments
- Act as the technical interface between customers, sales, and R&D teams
- Assist customers with SDK, API, and ROS-based application development
- Identify and resolve system-level issues related to hardware, software, sensing, and control
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and application guidelines
- Support product demonstrations, PoC projects, and on-site customer engagements as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
- Basic knowledge of mechatronics or system engineering
- Strong problem-solving and system debugging skills
- Willingness to work on a shift-based schedule, including evening and overnight shifts, as required by projects or customer support
- Good communication skills and ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams
- Basic English reading ability for technical documents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quadruped robots, mobile robots, or autonomous vehicles (AMR / AGV)
- Familiarity with ROS / ROS2, SLAM, Navigation, or sensor integration
- Hands-on experience in customer deployments or production-level implementations
- Participation in PoC projects, demos, trade shows, or customer technical presentations
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (for customer sites or exhibitions)
